Want to have dinner with the president?
President David Leebron has announced a student dinner series
for this academic year. Beginning with a cheese tasting on Friday, April 24, 2015, undergraduates will be randomly selected from a list to attend the cheese tasting with
President Leebron and his wife, Ping, at their home. This dinner series
provides an additional opportunity for students to interact with the
president and Ping in an informal setting over dinner. ***Unfortunately, the cheese tasting on April 24, 2015 has been postponed.***
To get your name on the list from which the invitees will be selected, email Sheila McClanahan at Sheila.Mcclanahan@rice.edu with your name, class year, college and intended field of study (if one has been identified).
Submit your information to ensure you are eligible to be selected for the next dinner.
Want to meet with the president in his office?
President Leebron periodically sets aside time to visit with students by holding open office hours. They are held in president's office and no appointments are necessary. This is a way for students to convey concerns, ask questions, or just engage the president in conversation.
These office hours will be conducted with an "open door" approach, allowing as many students to visit as possible. Here are the dates scheduled for this semester:
- Friday, April 10, 2015: 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
