Education Outreach Council

The Education Outreach Council is the primary vehicle for coordinating all of the University’s educational outreach initiatives. Established in 1997, the purpose of the Outreach Council is to:

  • Advise and assist the Associate Provost in facilitating information and resource sharing, coordination, visibility, and collaboration among existing initiatives.
  • Provide initiatives with a cohesive organizational structure.
  • Assist in defining and developing new initiatives based on the mutually beneficial needs of the University, the educational community of Houston and beyond.
  • Assist in pursuing funding for current and new initiatives.

Chaired by the Associate Provost, The Education Outreach Council meets monthly during the academic year.
