HOUSTON POLICE EMERGENCY CALLS  

On occasion an incident occurs on the campus which may require the services of the Houston Police Department. In all such cases the Rice University Police should be contacted first and they will, should it be necessary, ask the Houston Police Department to assist them. The Houston Police Department will not respond unless requested to do so by the Rice University Police. The Rice University police can be reached on campus extension 6000 or on Southwestern Bell line 348-6000.
